An advocate of education, “Money Mitra” makes this the foundation of her work with her clients. She has a master’s in Clinical Psychology and is a graduate of Vanderbilt University. As both a student and a teacher, Mitra is very passionate about equity, equality, and financial literacy which shows through her work in the community. She began her work in finance and real estate over 8 years ago after her safe and “traditional path” of going to school, getting an education, and looking for a job “failed” her. When she entered the workforce during the “financial crisis,” no one provided her with an opportunity to gain the experience required for employment. After working odd end jobs, A friend recommended she give the mortgage industry a try after witnessing her natural ability to cultivate relationships + build rapport, and that is where her fascination of finance was born. Mitra takes a holistic approach when helping her clients by including both short term and long term strategies to build wealth and financial wellness. She is also very passionate about bridging the wealth gap, and making sure that everyone has a seat at the table, or the resources to build their own.
